Blade Length: 4 1/2" OAL: 9 5/8" Beautiful folding mid lock dagger from Jean-Pierre Sucheras from France. Jean-Pierre is rapidly becoming a favorite maker for many collectors. Flawless in design and function and made in the French tradition of maximizing blade to handle ratio. The antique Tortoise inlays are underlaid with 24KT Gold foil to highlight these great looking scales. Also note the raised ridge that runs all the way through the center of the knife, including the Tortoise inlay. The back spacers are stippled, and the blade is actually ground from much thicker stock simply to allow the raised nail opener to be integrated into the blade rather than attached separately or ground down in. Stunning in absolutely every way, and the action has to be felt to be believed.
